Driver Bio
For the 2020 Season I will be racing the #7 Super Stock for Dustin Camp
I grew up in Appleton Wisconsin going to the races with my Dad at Wisconsin International Raceway among others. Watched cars race around the track and like so many young boys dreamed of one day being behind the wheel and taking the checkered flag.
My racing career began as a crew member in 1983. One of the drivers I crewed for, Ted Musgrave went on to win a NASCAR Truck series Championship.
Moved to Cheyenne after joining the military and enjoyed many a night watching the races at Big Country Speedway. I have served as a track official at BCS as well.
I started racing Pure Stocks at BCS in 2008 driving for Chris Atkinson at the age of 39. I won my first race the 5th time out; then switched to Grand American Modified later in '08 racing both at CNS as well as BCS. In 2012 I decided to move to the Super Stock class, the competition and popularity of the class made me want to give it a try. Raced in the class from 2012-2014. Numerous top 5 finishes, Main Event Wins, quick time awards, as well as numerous trophy dash and heat race wins. In 2014 I set a personal best lap time in a Super Stock, 14.703 as well as setting a BCS track record under the current Super Stock rules. I ended the 2014 Season with 2014 Mid Season Championship as well as back to back Super Stock Track Championships (2013 & 2014).
For the 2015 Season I will again be driving a Grand American Modified. The car is a Lucas Oil Modified out of Albuquerque NM. It was owned by J. Guthrie (Car Crafters) and has been driven by Jason Irwin #9 who also happens to race at BCS in a Legend. I purchased the car as a roller and am now in the process of getting it ready for the 2015 Season.
In 2009 and 2010 racing a Modified; while splitting my season between CNS and BCS I finished 5th in ‘09 and 4th in’10 in BCS point standings. I intend to race full time at BCS in 2015 and am hoping to improve upon those prior results.
I have an awesome group of Sponsors all of whom I also consider friends. My wife Amanda not only supports my racing but drives and pushes me to succeed. Without their support those boyhood dreams would still just be dreams.
