Mike Luna Named as Head Flagman for 2015


Mike Luna, is a Cheyenne native that began his motorized adventure early in life. He has been deeply involved in the automotive industry for the majority of his life, with a large portion of that time being devoted to the pursuit of his passion for racing. He began racing at Big Country Speedway in the early 80s in the Street Stock Class, and he attended Wyo Tech in 1984. His background encompasses virtually all aspects of the automotive and motorsports industry. He spent many years competing at Big Country Speedway. In 92, 93, and 94 he competed in the Late Model Class. Throughout his years, Mike has spent countless hours around auto racing and helping out at the track. He was the Head Flagman for the 95 and 96 Race Season and also served as the Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Wyoming Auto Racing Club (WARC). Mike’s experience includes an endless array of successful racing and automobile programs. Mike has been married to his wife, Vickie, for 22 years, they have four wonderful children: Kimberly, Heather, Timothy and Randy and four amazing grandkids: Makayla, Savannah, Brayden and Fable. Mike is currently employed at RAM Trucking Inc. as a mechanic and also has held a seat on the Cheyenne City Council since 2013. Mike is a focused individual that earns respect from everyone he races or works with for his work ethic, knowledge of the mechanical side of the sport and being an all-around nice guy!
